I want to share with others a very special memory you hold. It is a memory of my mom. I remember those special times when sitting on my mother’s bed, maybe watching TV with her in her bedroom (which we often did) or just going over things or talking. She would sometimes take ahold of my hand and sandwich it between her two hands and then, she would stroke the top of my hand with her hand with a warm smiling look of joy, maybe contentment, or appreciation. She was always expressing her appreciation for the things I had done for her or was doing for her at the time. Other memorable times, which I hold in my heart is when we—one or the other—would slip our arm around the other’s as we walked somewhere. I really cherish those memories, and if I ever forget those memories due to a memory disease, I want to be able to be reminded by reading about those memories because I love my mother and appreciate having had her as my mother.
